Teavana Review!!

(these photos are the product pics from the website as my camera is still lost among the seats of Hunter’s car)

Yesterday, my lovely, handsome man brought me one of the best gifts (set really) that I’ve EVER received! He brought me a custom Teavana flavoured tea, a beautiful tea tin, and a handy little tea maker. I’m doing a simple and quick review on all of these, thus, Teavana Review.

Precious White Peach White Tea

Product Description: “An incredibly smooth blend of delicious peach pieces and downy white tea buds. “

Health Benefits: “High in antioxidants, aids in detoxifying the body, studies show white tea is excellent for skin/complexion reducing fine lines and wrinkles. “

My Notes:
This is am absolutely wonderful tea! I love it. It’s sweet and fruity, though I do add agave nectar to sweeten it a bit more. I like it warm, but I also think it’s wonderful at room temperature (I’ve yet to try it chilled, but I’m sure it’ll be great.) As it cools, the tea taste weakens a bit and the peachy taste shines through. It’s sold as loose tea leaves, which I actually like more. Be careful when brewing, cause white teas are sensitive and tricky. The website directions say to brew for a minute, the lable with mine said two minutes, but the instructions I use are the ones Hunter got specifically form his favorite sales lady. She said to brew for only 45 seconds, because the longer the tea brews, it can and will get bitter. I really love this tea. I really suggest it to anyone who likes tea, or more specifically, sweet or fruity teas.

Teavana Perfect Tea Maker

Product Description: ”Our new and improved tea maker brews the perfect cup every time! It is the most efficient, simple and clean way to steep tea. Simply add tea and water at the correct temperature, then put the tea maker on your favorite mug. The patented drain mechanism will strain the tea into your cup and keep the leaves in the tea maker. Four piece construction allows you to remove the filter for cleaning and easily reassemble. Brews 16oz (2 cups) of tea and fits cups with a 3.5 inch diameter. Made of sturdy polycarbonate that is BPA free.”

My Notes: This little machine is one of the handiest things I have ever used/had/seen. The moment we pulled it out of the box, I had to use it. (Wanting to try the tea helped the rush a bit.) I really like that I can make the tea cup by cup. I heat the water in whatever cup I plan to drink out of (usually a coffee mug as I get annoyed with the darling, but child sized, tea cups.) While the water’s heating I put 2 or 3 teaspoons of tea (I like it strong) in the maker and just pour the hot water in. Brew for the appropriate time, then, the magic happens. This thing pours itself! I love that part of it, straining and filling my cup all in one motion! It especially useful since I use just the water from my drinking cup, i don’t have to worry about over filling it. I absolutely love this product! I recommend this to all tea fanatics.

Washi Tea Tin

Product Description: “Each of these colorful tins is covered in Washi paper, which is handmade from mulberry paper. The random design and color gives each a distinct look. But the tins are different, so your final colors and design are likely to be very different from the one shown. Because of the handmade nature of the paper, we cannot promise specific colors or styles. Each tea tin holds 16oz of most teas, depending on the size of the leaf. And they have a sealable top to keep your teas fresh for up to a year. “

My Notes: The above photo was taken with my webcam since, as I said above, my camera is in Hunter’s car. These tins are beautiful and I love the thought that no one else out the has one EXACTLY like mine. These come in three sizes, 3 oz, 5 oz, and 13 oz. I can’t really say too much about it other then to comment on the custom beauty of it or to compliment Hunter’s wonderful choice in print (from knowing me for so long. Poor guy.) I would consider this a wonderfully loli-esque item, since it it unique and they’re so pretty.

Check out Teavana! It’s wonderful, and is in partnership with the CARE program!
